F-Engrave 1.33

F-Engrave

I uploaded version 1.33 of F-Engrave, it is available on my web page. (F-Engrave 1.33)

Changes in Version 1.33:
– Added option for scaling input image height as a percent of the input values (rather than imputing the height as a length unit). This new feature should help people that combine more than one image together in a project. The new option is “Set Height as %” which allows scaling the input image by a percentage rather than setting a size(in or mm) for the height. Setting the height % to 100 will result in the image being the same size as the imported DXF file.

– Fixed batch mode…again. (I should really check that it is working before each new release)

I see in my inbox that you found the address on the bottom of the F-Engrave web page. Looks like the scaling is working properly in your examples. I sent a detailed explanation via e-mail. Just to reiterate for anyone else reading these comments the height variable controls the maximum height of the lines of text. When lower case letters that project below the baseline are used the text size is reduced so the total line height does not exceed the input “Text Height” value. The “Height Calculation” setting will change this behavior. A little more info is available in the F-Engrave manual linked from the F-Engrave web page.

Thanks for the great updates. I’m still using 1.22 and I have ran into an issue. When engraving multi line text, it does not seem to apply the text height properly. If I specify .125 for a height it will work fine for a single line, however, if I create 3 lines G code generated is only .085 high. Has this been corrected?

Rod, I tried in V1.22 but I am unable to reproduce the problem you are reporting. If you send me a sample .ngc file (to my e-mail address) with the problem I could take a closer look. I suspect V1.33 with act the same as V1.22.
